Sugar Maple

The Sugar Maple tree a native species of the West Virginia Area.
Its natural habitat range is between the Nova Scotia and Quebec as its Northern most edge, all the way down to Tennessee covering the New England and Mid Eastern States of the United States.

The Sugar Maple will cease to grow after 140-150 years with tree growing to about a height range of 70-110 feet tall with a diameter between 20-36 inches. Rare old growth trees can live to be 300-400 years in age.

Economically the sugar maple has variant uses. The sap in the tree is used to create maple syrup while the wood, being known as the hardest and densest of maples, is used to make furniture. They make bowling lanes and pins out of sugar maple trees. Many people grow the trees for decoration due to its fast growth.
